Harry Potter and the Deathly HallowsNov 04, 2009 The book was in pristine condition and arrived ahead of the expected delivery date! The book is an excellent read. Getting my 13-yr old to read has always been a struggle... but he doesn't want to put this book down!
Great read for all ages!Nov 03, 2009 Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows is a nonstop page turner. It enthralls you from page one and takes you right back into the story of Harry and his friends going up against Lord Voldemort. I would suggest this book to anyone who has read the series and I would suggest the series to anyone who has not read any of the books. Even if you have seen the movies the books are worth reading. This is from a 43 year old woman.
Magical Escape!Nov 03, 2009 J.K. Rowling has kept the momentum going since the first book. I cannot express how gifted she is and how wonderfully these books are written. They are pure fantasy, yet, so many day-to-day life experiences can relate to them. Any age can read this, and by this I mean, the older crowd to the younger crowd. This will take you away on an adventure, back to another time. I am almost done reading this book, but wish it would never end. It is a wonderful series, and great read. I would recommend these books to everyone; although, I will say, I have witnessed even the busiest of children,(i.e children than cannot sit still and they are constantly moving...) sit and read her books. I applaud a great mind, and one with such creativity. I only wish there was more...
As this is the final book of the series, follow Harry, Ron and Hermione one last time.
A good conclusion to the seriesOct 30, 2009 This was a great conclusion to the series. There were many plot turns and unexpected revelations. The author managed to tie up the loose end pretty well. I can see now that the movie will be very little like the book. The movies seem to be taking the killing out of the stories and since this book starts off from the start with Voldemort trying to kill Harry, I am sure they will re-write most of the plot line. They left out the maiming of George in the last book so I would guess they will leave out the killing of Fred. It was great to see Percy come back to the family. I think there was an attempt at redemption for Draco, I think it was more about the redemption of his mother and how the love for another person could change a person's heart. Over all I enjoyed the book and the series. I still wish the author would release the books in eBook format.
The Saga EndsOct 25, 2009 A rather interesting conclusion to the long awaited seventh book of the Harry Potter series. Interestingly enough, Rowling's style seems to change when writing this book. Instead of all the action in the last 100 pages of the book, action occurs throughout the entirety. The epilogue is a bit cheesy and overdone, but the story itself is well done. I think everyone had a character that passed away in the story that they didn't want to see die.
